How to Present a Worship Talk

Who: Academy-age young people
and their sponsor(s) to be trained by Steve
Case of Involve Youth (formerly Piece of the
Pie Ministries).
What: A 2-day intensive for
youth to be able to give worship talks for school
chapel, Student Week of Prayer (“Power
Week”), Sabbath School or Church, or other
religious presentations. “Connecting”
will focus on these “How to’s”:
1. How to prepare
a worship talk
2. How to present
a worship talk
Advanced
track for “Connecting” veterans
When: August 30-31, 2008 –
begins Sabbath, 5:00 PM; ends Sunday, 3:00 PM
Where:
Newbury Park Adventist Academy in Southern
California. Dress is casual. We’ll sleep
on the gym floor and use the locker rooms for
showers.
Why: So young people can be
better equipped to communicate and lead others
through the presentation of spiritual topics
in public settings
Cost and Discounts: $69 per
person
$59 per person if registered & paid by June
11, 2008
$54 per person for academy students from Pacific
Union Conference schools when you register and
pay by June 11, 2008
1 free sponsor for every 5 speakers from one
school or church
What’s Included: Meals
and lodging (bring a pad and sleeping bag)
A complete series of talks for a student Week

10 additional worship talks for future use
Fellowship among young people who desire to
share Jesus
